You know it already, the promised online form takes time to be ready. We explained the background here . But it exists ! Until now it was difficult to show it, as it was changing regularly.
At last it starts adopting its final shape, at least visually. That’s why we decided to show you what it looks like at this stage. Of course, some changes will occur again before the final version, but basically what we show now is reliable.
The screenshot shows the page which allow to handle the test results. Our choice went to a very interactive form. Just leaving the tester fill in a form would have been easier than the way we took. But less efficient at the end.
Testers will be able to come back to the datas they entered, and modify them when necessary. Every single active member will get an account and easily manage several standalone players. This small smartness gave the developper (Vincent) a headache, but that will be very useful when datas will need to be modified (after a firmware update for example).
For the other functionnalities, it is somewhat difficult to disclose them, as some choices are still not done... or better said still being discussed.
Until we have this form finished, you are of course welcome to post your results directly on our boards and can find a temporary (but complete) summary here .
We are proud to announce that we will soon validate our 500 player test ! DivXTest is the reference when it comes to a DVD player or vidéo hardrives test.
In 2008, we’ll imporve the website and also provide new test files for downloading.
