You did it ! Less than 2 monthes after the CD in its second version was launched, DivxTest reached today the 100 players tested !
The whole Team is proud and glad to thank those who allowed to reach so quickly the symbolic 100 tests. It is most likely that the 117 tests (best score for the v1) will be reached before the end of this year.
That’s a fantastic recognition from all testers/users of the usefulness of DivxTest.
More : tests are done all over the World, the 100th coming from Australia ! ;-)
Not less than 11600 CD have been downloaded from the official server , that is more than 7900 Gbytes (thanks Antoine !) We will try to update these figures in detail, including the number of CDs coming from the other servers which actively support the Project, as well as those distributed with Divx Magazine .
The website is about to evolve for more comfort while browsing. The search function with simplified parameters will also be improved to help the less experienced users to compare the players more easily.
In the meantime, let’s remind you that a Top100 is already available while looking at the results : you can sort the players by brand/name/score.
The next major evolution of the DivxTest Project will be to include additional types of divx players (such as multimedia hard drives) and results of standalone players performed with non official firmwares.
We are proud to announce that we will soon validate our 500 player test ! DivXTest is the reference when it comes to a DVD player or vidéo hardrives test.
In 2008, we’ll imporve the website and also provide new test files for downloading.
